An established training venue

The Cotswold Conference Centre (CCC) was launched in January 2001. The facilities have developed over the past 30 years from humble beginnings as the residential training school for Group 4 Total Security. Originally, Group 4 security guards would attend 'Head Office' training courses and stay in dormitory style accommodation. In the eighties, Group 4 began to run open courses for UK and overseas delegates in all aspects of security, safety and fire prevention. This then developed further into offering management training to blue chip organisations using the 300 acre estate and local countryside. As the company's reputation grew, so did the turnover and investment in the facilities. In its final year of trading Group 4 Securitas Training Ltd turned over some £10M.

Farncombe Estate, an established training venueIn 2000, Group 4 merged with Falck A/S from Denmark then with Securicor to create one of the largest security organisations in the world now known as G4S. As is common practice these days, the new group decided to focus on core activities. It was then decided by the Group 4 founder and G4S President Emeritus Mr J Philip-Sørensen CBE, to launch the superb facilities as a commercial training venue in late 2000. CCC has become part of Sorven Holdings Ltd. The Philip-Sørensen family also owns the deluxe 4 star Dormy House Hotel 'next door' which provides added flexibility to the CCC service offering. In September 2003 the Farncombe Estate Centre was launched as a vehicle to provide residential leisure courses at weekends to make the best use of the estate and facilities. The programme continues to develop offering more and more courses and proves there is no age limit for learning.
